How the scheme works

The arrangements involve users providing their services to end clients throughGPS. The users sign a contract of employment that will pay them a basic salary at a rate close to the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage.GPSmakes a single payment to the user comprising this salary which is subjected to deductions for Income Tax and National Insurance contributions (NICs) and an additional amount (described as a ‘withdrawal’) which is not subjected to deductions for Income Tax orNICs. Greenlight Payroll Operations Ltd has a role in relation to making the arrangements available for implementation by handling the scheme usersPAYEand RTI submissions and by issuing documentation to users. Dynasty Payroll Solutions Ltd has made significant payments toGPSin respect of users of the arrangements andHMRCsuspect it has a role in relation to making the arrangements available for implementation.
